• Review compliance jobs and Financial Statements, including the ability to time manage and prioritise so that jobs are sent out in a timely manner. Provide review points with on-the-job training to address any technical knowledge gaps.
• Manage workflow autonomously, including the proactive delegation of jobs to junior members of the team. Maintain accurate budget forecasting with minimal write-offs.
• Manage and develop relationships with clients. Attend to client queries in a timely, efficient and professional manner. Develop knowledge specific to client industries and regions.
• Prepare clear, specific, well-presented and easy-to-understand workpapers that set an example for junior team members to learn from.
• Prepare large, complex jobs that contain multiple entities. Demonstrate expert knowledge within accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, etc.
• Prepare and/or provide tax advice for clients. Delegate research, when required, to others and provide feedback to them about the quality and accuracy of their research.
• Complete special work as it arises, including the preparation of forecasts, budgets and other advisory-type work.
• Undertake team management activities, including the monitoring of KPIs, actioning of minor performance issues and contribution to performance review feedback. Lead the team confidently in the absence of the Manager.
