The Assembly & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and integrating our assembly operations and end-to-end logistics activities. In this role, she(he) will be responsible for streamlining the flow of inbound materials, managing efficient assembly processes, and ensuring seamless warehouse and distribution logistics. Duties and Responsibilities :
• Manage all inbound and outbound logistics, including material receiving, inventory storage, order staging, and final product shipping.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and 3PL providers to optimize transport schedules and freight costs.
• Maintain accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts, ERP/WMS system updates, and effective warehouse spatial planning.
• Ensure compliance with all local and international shipping regulations, import/customs requirements, and safety protocols.
• Oversee daily assembly line operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety guidelines are consistently met.
• Optimize assembly workflows, staffing schedules, and equipment utilization to minimize downtime and labor costs.
• Monitor product assembly procedures and implement Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen) to enhance productivity.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise assembly technicians, warehouse personnel, and logistics staff.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as assembly throughput, order accuracy, inventory precision, and shipping lead times.
• Manage operational budgets, cross-border shipping logistics, and facility resource allocations.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, or logistics management, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Solid understanding of assembly line mechanics, freight forwarding, customs clearance procedures, and inventory management practices.
• Strong leadership, cross-functional communication, problem-solving abilities, and high attention to detail.
• Knowledge/experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
